ABOUT

I am a treasure hunter, an alchemist, a steward of forsaken objects, images, and moments. I employ various mediums (photography, jewelry, mixed media) to capture, transform, and preserve these scavenged artifacts.

Once treasured mementos tossed aside, well-crafted utilitarian objects now deemed obsolete, beautiful old buildings left to decay  these are the orphans that call to me, I am drawn to them with a curiosity and reverence. I recognize their forlorn beauty and am compelled to offer them a home and a new beginning for a select few in the form of an adornment or photograph.

Invoking methods and materials both traditional and alternative, ancient and modern, presents disparate elements in a new context that's symbolic, intriguing, and pleasing to the eye. Mine is a small line of limited edition and one-of-a-kind pieces representing a slightly eclectic concept and aesthetic.

Sacred Curiosities is a conduit for exhibiting my creations, once reserved only for myself and a small circle of others, to a broader audience. I create works when I am inspired and present them without an agenda.

The best way to stay current with me, my latest projects, and news is to subscribe to my blog's e-mailed updates, and become a fan on my Facebook page. If you use a feed reader then you may also add my blog's feed to your subscriptions.
